Wanderers
Formed in 1859, Wanderers were among the leading clubs of football's formative years. Originally known as Forest FC, the club adopted the name Wanderers in 1864, reflecting their lack of a permanent home ground. Made up largely of former public school pupils, particularly from Harrow, Wanderers became one of the dominant sides of the early game, winning the FA Cup five times between 1872 and 1878.
