Notes
# As Stoke and Burnley only needed a draw & this match became known as 'the match without a shot at goal'.
The Football League decided to scrap Test Match system after this match to hold a vote during which the clubs
would be picked to increase the First Division to 18 clubs.
It was also decided to have automatic promotion & relegation.
Second Division also increased to 18 clubs. Lincoln City, Darwen and Loughborough re-elected.
Barnsley, Burslem Port Vale, Glossop and New Brighton Tower elected to Second Division.
